Through hands-on research and fieldwork across Rajasthan, I explored the art and science of natural dyeing. From identifying the optimal mordant ratios for dyeing handmade paper to developing scalable production standards for commercial use, my work bridges traditional knowledge with modern applications. Alongside this, I documented the vibrant world of natural dye practices through photography and interviews with local artisans and merchants—capturing not just technique, but the cultural and economic significance of natural dyes in India and beyond.
