Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo National Park, is a renowned wildlife reserve in India, famous for its rich diversity of bird species, especially migratory birds. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a paradise for birdwatchers and nature photographers. You cannot drive through the park, and instead have to rent a rickety old bike. While we were there my daughter got sick and my partner and I took turns exporting the park at different times of day. They guides would joke “they are like the birds! One flies away and the other stays at the nest.” The smog in the area, while off-putting at the time, gave the images an impressionistic effect.
