Pushkar

While in Pushkar, India, I had the opportunity to photograph the town at night during a sacred ceremony honoring the dead. As families gathered by the ghats to offer prayers, light candles, and release ashes of their loved ones. As I stood by the ghats, I lost in the sounds of the bells, and taken by way the light hit the water. During the day worshipers bathe in the waters to purify the soul.
