Texas District Bike Plans

The Project

As part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s initiative to improve statewide bicycle infrastructure, I developed four custom District Bike Plans tailored to regional needs. For this project I created four bike plans identical in branding but tailored for four different TxDOT districts.

The Process

For this project the client wanted to create a document that was easily understandable by the public. My goal was to make it as engaging and understandable as possible. I led the design of the layout and template, working closely with our subcontractor and client to create engaging, fully 508-compliant documents, including accessible, user-friendly maps. While our sub contractor provided select infographics and maps, I managed and created the other eliments. One of my favorite touches: a tiny bicycle that rides along the bottom of each page. Just one of the subtle themed elements that make these plans both informative and enjoyable to read.
